the little sister

i overheard mikee talking to miggy ...

mikee: kuya, can you get me a cup of milk?

miggy: and why will i do that?

mikee: but i'm your little sister! and you are my big brother!

i can already see the future of this little girl ... i guess i'd have to start saving for an mba ...

miggy: ok, i'll do that but you have to promise that you'll never be bad to me and you will give me cookies.

mikee: mama!!! kuya wants me to do things for him!

hahahaha so she's the only one who can make demands ... and guess what? after a few "discussions" with miggy, she got what she wanted in the end =D

mayday! mayday! mayday!

around the end of july, i went on a business trip to the philippines and i brought mikee with me.

it was a short trip and i was really busy working the whole time that before we knew it, it was already time to go back to singapore.

on our flight back, changi airport was temporarily closed for the national day rehearsals. so our plane had to stay in the air for about 30 minutes.

when mikee realized that we were taking to long to land, she kept asking me, "mama, when are we going to crash?" or "mama, are we crashing yet?" in her loud and shrilly voice =D

hehe i wonder what the people around us were thinking =)

the 8th wonder of the world

"do you know what's the eigth wonder of the world?", miggy asked my hubby after dinner.

after racking his brain off for the correct answer, he told miggy ... and he was surprised when miggy said he's wrong ... 'coz according to miggy, the eigth wonder of the world is *drum roll* king kong!!!

i have no freaking idea where he got that but he insists that king kong is really the eight wonder of the world ... won't even listen to me when i said it can't be true ... lol ...

why?

lately, i noticed that gabie is becoming more and more like his kuya miggy ... he's starting to be as naughty and talkative like miggy ...

today, from the time i came home, he has been asking me over and over again to help him earn more points in plants vs. zombies ...

when i've had enough, i told him, "you knowwhat? you're becoming makulit na!" (you're getting naughtier!)

he replied, "why? ... why? ... why? ... why? ... why? ... why? ... why? ... why? ... why? ... why? ... why?"

need i explain more?

pink girls and blue boys

last saturday, mikee and i went to orchard road to have some girly fun window shopping ... i bought her a dirt cheap pink sunglasses ... and after wearing it for some time she wanted to remove it ...

mikee: mama, can i take my sunglasses off?

me: but i thought you love it?

mikee: yeah, but everything is pink!

me: well, that's because the sunglasses are pink ...

mikee: but mama, even the boys are pink!

oh well, how do you explain to a five year old that not all pinks are girly and not all boys are blue?
